Elden Ring - Limgrave Optional Dungeons

During your exploration in Elden Ring's open world there are multiple caves and optinal dungeons you can enter, loot and try to kill the boss for some neat rewards. This guide will help you find them and note items of interest inside.

Limgrave, West

Stranded Graveyard

You can fall down near the ghost guy to get the Strength! Gesture at the end of the path. You will have to defeat a mini-boss Soldier of Godrick.

He is easy and this serves as a tutorial (which you can skip if you don't fall down. For the item that is on the ledge near the ghost guy - you can get there from the alternate entrance which you can reach with your Horse mount (after you get him). You can enter Fringefol Hero's Grave from here; use 2 Stonesword Keys on the imp statue.

0:14 - Alternate entrance to Stranded Graveyard (Haligdrake Talisman): After you get your mount, you can reach it
1:26 - Ash of War: Gravitas (this is outside the cave if you defeat the skeleton enemy)

Fringefol Hero's Grave

You can enter this one through Stranded Graveyard if you use 2 Stonesword Keys on the imp statues. You are in for a real treat! You need to run to 2 end paths where an enemy/boss awaits. I was level 33 when I came back here (just before I killed second story boss).

0:01 - Stonesword Key #1: You will need 2, find them in the world as purple pickups, or you can buy from certain shops, like from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold

0:42 - Stonesword Key #3-5: If you need more, buy from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold
1:01 - Stranded Graveyard Imp Statue: Use 2 keys and prepare for some running. End path up contains strong knight enemy, and end path down a boss.
1:23 - Fringefol Hero's Grave end path up: You can find Poison Darts and Golden Rune (5) during your path. At the end you will get Dragon Communion Seal weapon for incantation
5:23 - Fringefol Hero's Grave end path down: You can find Grave Glovewort (1) on the way, and defeat Tree Spirit at the end for 2 more items
6:50 - Ulcerated Tree Spirit: I was level 33 here, just before the second story boss. I've used Fire Talisman to reduce fire damage, and Claw talisman to enhance jump attacks. Summon minions!
10:05 - Reward: Golden Seed & Ashes of War: Banished Knight Oleg

Gatefront Ruins

This is the first settlement a bit north, northeast from where you start.

Check the southeastern area to find a set of stairs that leads to a small room underground where a treasure chest can be found. Inside the chest is the Ash of War: Storm Stomp and Whetstone Knife key item. Loot north and south carriage's to find Lordsword's Greatsword and Flail weapons. Whetstone Knife is needed to set Ash of War weapon skill on your weapon - you need to do that while resting at the site of grace.

Stormhill Shack

Find it up the hill just northwest from the Gatefront site of grace. There is a Stonesword Key here.

Find Roderika sitting on the ground. By talking to her several times, you'll obtain the Sitting Sideways gesture and Spirit Jellyfish Ashes.

Kaiden Sellsword camp

You can find the camp northeast of the "Agheel Lake North" Site of Grace in Limgrave. Loot it for Armorer's Cookbook (1).

Stormfoot Catacombs

Murkwater Cave

0:01 - Bloody Finger Nerijus Invader: Start from Murkwater Coast to be closer when you die :) Survive long enough and you will get help from Yura, and Reduvia weapon from invader

5:30 - Treasure Chest: Cloth Garb and Cloth Trousers
5:56 - Patches Fight (Grovel for Mercy Gesture): Deplete half of his health and spare him (stop attacking when he is down)
7:55 - Patches Shop: If you teleport back here to the cave, Patches will sell wares. Margit's Shackle helps in Margit boss fight if you want help
9:27 - Opening his treasure chest (Calm Down Gesture): If you do it, you will be teleported. When you get back, you will get Calm Down Gesture
9:53 - Returning to Patches: No more treasure chest, but he forgives you and he will sell again

Murkwater Catacombs

2:14 - Grave Warden Duelist: Defeat him for Battle Hammer

Deathouched Catacombs

1:40 - Uchigatana weapon
3:30 - Lever
4:30 - Black Knife Assasin: Defeat him for Assasin's Crimson Dagger (5:33 - great Talisman you can equip to heal on critical hits)
5:50 - Treasure Chest: Deathroot

Dragon-Burnt Ruins

You can find 2 underground treasure chests here; one is where the ruins marker is, one a bit northwest from there (but still in range of the same ruins!). There is a Twinblade and Stonesword Key x1 to collect, while the northern chest teleports you really far on the map. Don't use that one :) You can find video details on below video from Coastal Cave.

Coastal Cave & Church of Dragon Communion

Coastal Cave is a bit specific. You can get the Tailoring Tools & Sewing Needle to alter your armors, which is cool perk to have. Following the same dungeon gets you towards the Ritual of Dragon Communion where you can exchange Dragon Hearts for dragon magic. I will also show in the video how and where to beat the first game dragon mini-boss, plus what to collect around the area where the dragon is (Dragon-Burnt Ruins).

6:59 - Ritual of Dragon Communion: Use it to learn new incantations if you have Dragon Hearts to spare :) Let's go and hunt the dragon
7:31 - Dragon Burnt Ruins: Collect Twinblade and Stonesword Key x1 before the fight. The other underground room norht from here teleports you, so don't open the chest 8:40 - Flying Dragon Agheel: Defeat the dragon using your Horse mount (I was level 33 at this point) to get the Dragon Heart x1
13:39 - Dragon Heart Exchange: You can exchange the Dragon Heart now for any Dragon incantation you want

Waypoint Ruins

Beating Waypoint Runs unlocks Sellen, the sorcerer which sells sorceries. You can give her scrolls such as Royal House Scroll, Academy Scroll, and Conspectus Scrolls to expand the sorcerries she is offering. Be careful though, if you give it to her, you can't give it to Miriel (another NPC with spells), but they sell the same ones, so don't worry about missing a thing.

Limgrave, South

Impaler's Catacombs

You might be wondering where to go in the room with spikes. Step on the platform, go back, and jump down. You can follow the path here, reach the ladders, find the lever and finally enter the boss room.

Oridys's Rise

Read the book at the entrance, then find 3 turtles closely by (1 is just south of tower steps, 1 left of them in the bushes, 1 on the right side of the tower in the middle of the pond - attack all turtles and you can then enter the tower).

Runebear at the end is not the easiest animal to beat. You might want to come back later if you can't beat it now. I was around level 40 here.

Minor Erdtree - Optional Mini-boss: Erdtree Avatar

You might want to defeat this mini-boss to get more Crystal Tears for your Flask of Wondrous Physick. This one in near the big tree in South region of the map, and by defeating him you get Opaline Bubbletear & Crimsonburst Crystal Tear.

Walking Mausoleum

If you defeated Godrick and got his remembrance rune, you can go back to roundtable and exchange it for one of 2 items. Luckly, there is a way to duplicate these souls, but once you do that, you can't use that certain mausoleum anymore. Mausoleums are found on the world map and you know you found one when you hear a bell in the distance. You need to bring down the big beast by attacking interractive objects on its legs. Like said, be careful, when you duplicate the soul you can't use that mauselum anymore to duplicate more, you need to find a new one.

0:01 - Remembrance Runes: You get those by defeating bosses
0:20 - Exchanging Boss Remembrance Runes at Roundtable: You can get 2 items, but you get only 1 rune from each boss. We will fix that soon
1:18 - Bring down Walking Mausoleums: Hit the spots on its legs and eventualy it will lower the mausoleum. You can duplicate remembrance here, but only once per mausolem, so be careful! There are more in the world later

Castle Morne

Leonine Misbegotten is optional boss that you can find to the south - through the castle all the way to the southern coast. The location is South Limgrave, southern end of that peninsula. I got here after Godrick boss and I was around level 40, and this fight was very easy.

Limgrave, East

Highroad Cave

This entrance is at the top of the water canal. You might've been in Murkwater Catacombs, which are a bit souther. This one is north, north from the bridge that is above the mentioned dungeon. I went to Limgrave east after doing West and South first, when I was around level 45+.

Gael Tunnel

If you enter this from Rear Gael Tunnel Entrance side, you will meet the cuphead NPC but you will not be able to progress the dungeon. You need enter from Gael Tunnel side, which is on the region a bit east and south from here. Go there, come from the other side, unlock the doors, speak with cuphead, defeat dragon for anoter heart and a cool magic katana weapon.

Siofra River Well is one of the optional dungeons, in this case even whole map of underground part where you can find mutliple weapons, spells and items. There is also a trophy at the end for beating the boss. There is also one mini-boss. I was level 49 here, and it wasn't easy.
